I’m not one for prolonging the agony, and so without further ado I’m pleased to announce that Ann Richardson is this month’s winner of my ‘Share Your Short Story‘ writing contest with her true tale ‘An Encounter in  Rome’.

You can read Ann’s story here.

Congratulations Ann, you can now add the laurel below to your page, and please let me know if you would like it to be published in a free anthology.

And the runner up is Michael James Gallagher with his dramatic story ‘The Garage’ which is partly based on reality. Congratulations Michael, you can now add this laurel to your story:

Read Michael James Gallagher’s story here.

I’m definitely enjoying reading all the stories coming my way.  For the next few months the deadlines will be slightly different, as I’ll be over on the Island without Internet at the time I should be deciding the winners.

For those of you who would like to submit stories for May, the deadline will be May 24th, and I’ll announce the winner and runner up on 25th May.  The blog to submit for May will be published on 30th April.

Here are the links to the other authors’ stories submitted.  Enjoy!
