I had to read other blogs first, as I had no idea what this week’s question meant:
What is your writing kryptonite?
I asked Sam, and he said it was something to do with Superman – something about kryptonite giving him strength but he wasn’t quite sure. As I’ve never watched a Superman film and have no interest in wanting to do so, I had to wait and read what other bloggers had written.
Apparently the question in translation means: ‘What would make you give up writing?’
I write as a hobby whenever I feel like it, and I don’t really take it too seriously. I won’t be writing a thing after this blog for over a week, as I’ll be looking after my grandchildren at the van, and while the sun’s shining I’d rather be at the beach making memories for the kids!
Why take writing so seriously? I learned long ago that there’s no point in trying to make a living at it, and so I just write for my own pleasure when I’m not at work earning real money as a medical secretary. Every now and then I’ll get a great review, and that spurs me on to think up another story. That’s all there is to it really. I’ll give it up when I have permanent writer’s block, and when I really can’t be arsed to write anything more. Until then I’ll carry on creating stories when the mood strikes me starting again after 14th August…
… So bye bye for now!
