On Fridays I do my bit to promote Indie authors/bloggers by posting either Click & Run, Streets Ahead, or Review Share. This week it’s the turn of ‘Click & Run’:
You know what to do by now… just leave a link to whichever blog post you’d like to share this week. You only need to read and comment on other blog posts if you want to – there are no mandatory rules here. Live and let live, that’s my philosophy…
Please keep the blogs reasonably family friendly though. If I see any nasties I will have to delete them!
Thanks to the bloggers who always take part and leave their links.
I hope you’re not offended by bad language, as there is lots of it in the video below (if you are, this is a warning not to look at it!). However, I thought it was quite funny so… any excuse for a laugh… I’m going to share it:

It’s hard not to write about the pandemic. I was going to write about the NHS anyway with all our recent family dramas. I have also written some lighter posts about being ln isolation.

Thanks for the tip off about Tesco slots. We lost ours so will try again after midnight tonight.

Yes, midnight at the keyboard is where we hang out now. It’s all happening at midnight. Competition is fierce and queues are long. At one point this morning when I tried to register at Morrisons there were 23,219 people in front of me!

Hi Stevie, love the video, which a friend shared on Facebook the other day. If you don’t mind, I’ll leave links to both posts from this week. I know you’ve seen them but others may not have been so lucky 😉
Firstly, the second in my new series of Tuesday Tunes, to brighten up the lockdown: https://wp.me/p2FNZK-1sR
And secondly, a reblog from five years ago of an April 1 post: https://wp.me/p2FNZK-1t3
Stay safe and well.

Thanks for the links, Clive. Hope you’re getting your shopping delivered okay?

Thanks Stevie. A good time to ask, as I’ve had a delivery this morning. I’m ok for the next three weeks but not sure beyond that – delivery slots are impossible to find! I may be looking for local volunteers! Hope all is well with you.

We’ve recently found that sitting up until midnight secures a spot, as that’s when the new delivery slots are put on for the next day. By 3am they’ve probably all gone. Sam does the honours and sits up later once a week and books for a week hence. All we’re missing is 17th April, but NHS workers can shop between 7am – 8am at our Morrisons, so that’s what I’ll do if all the slots have gone.

Tesco do that, but they are only releasing one new day at a time at present. Good thing I have a well-stocked freezer and food cupboard, but bread, fruit and milk might become issues in late April! Fingers crossed that the fit and able go to the shop and leave deliveries to the incapable 😉

This week I offer you toll roads, English sparrows, Scottish Power, and an explanation of why Americans are buying guns during a pandemic. It’s the news from Britain–and elsewhere. https://notesfromtheuk.com/2020/04/03/birds-bills-booze-and-the-virus-its-the-news-from-britain/
Stay safe, everybody. And above all, be lucky.

Ah, thanks Ellen. I wondered why there were queues at gun shops. I’ll head on over now.

Thank you, Stevie. Here’s my contribution. Nothing to do with writing, this is my other passion. Here’s an easy bread recipe. This one uses a lot less yeast than a normal loaf would and requires no kneading whatsoever. In fact, there’s only about ten minutes work required in total. Give it a try. https://richarddeescifi.co.uk/welcome-to-the-saturday-rewind/

Yeast’s hard to buy right now, so a lot of people will welcome a recipe that uses less than usual.
