It’s hard not to write about the pandemic. I was going to write about the NHS anyway with all our recent family dramas. I have also written some lighter posts about being ln isolation.

Yes, midnight at the keyboard is where we hang out now. It’s all happening at midnight. Competition is fierce and queues are long. At one point this morning when I tried to register at Morrisons there were 23,219 people in front of me!

Thanks Stevie. A good time to ask, as I’ve had a delivery this morning. I’m ok for the next three weeks but not sure beyond that – delivery slots are impossible to find! I may be looking for local volunteers! Hope all is well with you.

We’ve recently found that sitting up until midnight secures a spot, as that’s when the new delivery slots are put on for the next day. By 3am they’ve probably all gone. Sam does the honours and sits up later once a week and books for a week hence. All we’re missing is 17th April, but NHS workers can shop between 7am – 8am at our Morrisons, so that’s what I’ll do if all the slots have gone.

Tesco do that, but they are only releasing one new day at a time at present. Good thing I have a well-stocked freezer and food cupboard, but bread, fruit and milk might become issues in late April! Fingers crossed that the fit and able go to the shop and leave deliveries to the incapable 😉

Thank you, Stevie. Here’s my contribution. Nothing to do with writing, this is my other passion. Here’s an easy bread recipe. This one uses a lot less yeast than a normal loaf would and requires no kneading whatsoever. In fact, there’s only about ten minutes work required in total.
