Welcome to this week’s Sunday Stills. This week the topic is ‘Night‘.
I’ve added some photos I took of various New Year’s Eves we spent in London, from 2011 – 2016. This was back in the days when I didn’t mind standing in the cold for 4 hours on the Embankment to see the Millennium Wheel light up at midnight. We had to make sure we had a place to stand by 8pm, because the police cordoned off all the roads and nobody else could get down there. Later years we booked rides on City Cruisers along the Thames, to get a closer view.

These photos are just damn beautiful😍😍😍. Great pics🤗🤗🤔

I lived in London for 60 years, and never did that on NYE. Mind, you, I was usually working. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

We did this for about 5 consecutive years, and then as we got older we didn’t fancy standing in the cold for 4 hours. We did a couple of river cruises too, but usually now spend NYE on the IOW. There’s a hotel nearby that does a nice dinner and disco.
