Today on Sunday Stills the topic is ‘Rain‘. For the first photo I’ve shown the consequence of rain when Sam and I were at the Download festival with son Leon (on the left) and his friend back in 2012. The site was like a mudbath and my boots kept getting stuck in the mud, making it difficult to get around without a helping hand. Sam was nearly wetting himself with laughter as he took this photo.

Here’s a rainy day in the road outside our house:

We often have family barbeques, and sometimes it rains. However, Sam is quite resourceful and on a particularly rainy one he rigged up this canopy to stop our sausages getting soggy!

Oh my goodness….I’d be laughing so hard I’d probably fall flat on my face. That’s a lot of rain.

I’ve always wondered when the English actually do a barbecue when it’s raining all the time. 😉 Well solved !! But the road looks really bad. I hope you have an off-road vehicle. Now I have to be satisfied that we have Siberian cold again. 😉

The road fills up a couple of times per year. We’re used to it, lol.

We’ve still got snow on the ground, but hopefully it will melt this week. I’m ready for spring and that’s what rain means to me. Awesome photos! 🙂

It rains so much in Beetley, I should be able to enter this one. But I don’t take my cameras out in the rain.
You do illustrate very nicely the main reason I never go to open-air festivals. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

Lol, they’re not always like that. We usually go to the IOW Festival which is in September this year. I only remember one rainy festival in all the years we’ve been going there.

It rained a lot in Vancouver too. I have a picture somewhere of Paul barbequing in his sailing rain gear and wellies. We do what we have to do. xo

Lol, yes we do. At a BBQ at my son’s house a couple of years back it absolutely pelted down. My sons were cooking and I tried to find a photo of them giggling standing there in a cloudburst with soggy food.
