As you read this we’re out for the day at our grandson’s christening and family get-together. Therefore I will be a bit late in answering any comments, but I’ll answer them either tonight or tomorrow after work.
This week the topic is Indoor/Outdoor decor. I thought I’d add some photos of Sam’s skills with outdoor lights, as our indoor decor is just plain walls and not very interesting. The first photo is of our holiday home on the Isle of Wight. Sam fixed up some netting across the front of the caravan and weaved some solar lights through it:
The next pictures are of our old caravan and our front garden last Christmas and another Christmas past. Each November Sam works out where he wants the lights, and below are his creations:

I love all the festive lights on both homes, Stevie, your hubby is quite talented. We’re waiting for an outdoor electrical outlet near our front porch and then I’m going crazy for Christmas this year, LOL. BTW, I notice you refer to your first home as a caravan. It must be a modular or manufactured home? It’s very cute with that landing surrounding it. Christmas will be here before we know it! Enjoy your day!

The caravan is our holiday home on the Isle of Wight which we visit during the summer. We live in Suffolk most of the time.

Those are fabulous, but I don’t envy your electricity bills!

They’re only LED lights and so don’t use much electricity.

Thanks for your comment, Gwen. Sam loves fiddling about with wires. It’s in his blood, lol.

He does a great job. Me being a notorious humbug, I have never had Christmas lights. My wife is happy enough with a decorated pre-lit tree.
Many of the neighbours have extensive Christmas lights. I get irritated by the type that flash on and off, sometimes left on permanently until New Year!
Best wishes, Pete.

Ours don’t flash on and off thankfully. I’m not keen on trees inside the house, but enjoy looking at the lights for a month or so before they’re taken down.

We once had an outdoor Christmas tree and that was fun too. Handy chap, your hubby!

He is for sure, thank you. He can repair most household appliances, which has saved us money over the years.

He’s okay, just pissed off. He’s on a train trying to get home from Oxford after waiting 5 hours for the car to be towed to a garage.

Indeed. We’re going to continue just with mine at the moment, as Sam usually works from home and I’m flexible with my working days.

Sam does such a great job of arranging the lights. My hubby enjoys doing the lights too. I love that we have a palm tree we can decorate now. Enjoy the family gathering.
