Today’s Bloganuary prompt is as follows:
If you could, what year would you time travel to, and why?
I don’t think I’d like to travel to the future, as all my family and friends would be dead and I’d not know a soul. Instead I’d like to time travel back to when I was seventeen, so that would be 1974, and of course I’d still know all I know now.
Starting over with an old head on young shoulders I could put to rights all the mistakes I’ve made along life’s highway. All my now deceased family members would be living, and so I could talk to the older generation in a way I never did when they were alive and learn more about my great-grandparents and great-great grandparents and the kind of lives they led. I could also choose a career path more suited to my talents rather than the one I did take.
I would dream big, pursue the arts, be more patient with my eldest son, take more time over my debut novel, take exercise and give up eating shite sooner. It’s no good being young with a young head because you make too many mistakes. The ideal combination is an 18 year old body with at least 60+ years of insight. A few of us are lucky enough to be born like this. I wish I had been!
With you on the younger body and the knowledge accrued til 60 lol 🙂 x

Go back in time and follow myself around. Every time I was about to to something stupid, I’d whisper, “Nope”. I’d say that a lot . . .
I think I would go forward, just to take a quick look around to see if we made it.

I’ve always wanted to time travel. I think I would like to go back to Jane Austen’s time. It would be fun to see what life was like back then and have a nice chat with dear Jane. Of course, I would want to go back to 18th Century England not Canada as it would have been too wild and scary in Western Canada at that time.

Ooh, no electricity or proper sanitation. No TVs, microwaves, fridges, washing machines, vacuum cleaners or Internet. Hmm… I’ll stick with the 20th Century!
