Welcome to another blog hop. This week the topic is:

What’s on your writer’s wish list? List 5 things you have been wanting to buy or try as a writer.

There are some things I’d like to try/buy, but they all cost money. At the moment I’m happy with my trusty computer and in these days of high prices and high inflation I’d rather not spend any more money than I need to. However, if I had more disposable income I’d try these:

  1. Amazon ads: Ever since Amazon stopped advertising Indie books for free my monthly sales have reduced somewhat. No worries… I’ll put up with that as I only write for a hobby and not to pay the bills.
  2. Mailchimp’s Standard Package: It’s about £30 per month (others cost more), but then I’d be able to send emails to all the subscribers on my list (1500) and not just around 170. No worries… the 1330 subscribers who aren’t getting emails are probably breathing a sigh of relief.
  3. I’d pay for somebody to format my books and book cover for Ingram Spark: Again this costs money, and it also costs money to publish on Ingram Spark too. No worries… I just don’t add any more books to the ones that are already on there and publish on Amazon for free instead.
  4. Ingram Spark’s Catalogue: More money needed (last time I used it the price was around £85 per book), but unfortunately your book will only stay in their catalogue for a few months anyway. No worries…
  5. Bookbub: Far too much money!
