Thanks to a little nudge from Clive at Take it Easy, I’m sending out another call for collaborators to my ‘Understanding’ anthology, which has been a work in progress for a couple of years.
I’m looking for volunteers interested in answering 20 of my questions on any life experience they have undergone. Clive was kind enough to answer 20 questions on depression, which you can find here. I also have completed interviews on alcoholism, teenage pregnancy, caffeine addiction, sexual abuse, and chronic pain. You can find all the interviews so far in the ‘Understanding‘ category on my website https://www.stevie-turner-author.co.uk/
If you have experienced a significant life event and would like to answer 20 questions for my anthology, please leave a comment and I’ll get back to you. Amongst others, I’d be interested in people who have undergone:
A near death experience
A paranormal experience
Significant weight loss
Quitting smoking
I plan to set the book up free on Draft2Digital when I have enough collaborators. Hopefully the experiences can help other people.

What a great idea Stevie. I’m just surprised I’d never read about this series before, being that I’m an avid follower of your blog. 🙂 If you have room, I’d love to participate. How would you feel about escaping a narcissist – as in signs to look for, how to adapt to living with one, when is it time to enforce no contact? 🙂

Oh, I could also talk about having a total hip replacement at the age of 54 as well!

I can do the hip replacement as Jaye Marie is answering the smoking questions. What email address shall I send questions to?

Pam, thinking about it, would you like to send me a couple of paragraphs about how you gave up smoking?

I lost a younger brother when he was only 19. Although it was over 40 years ago, I still miss him dearly. Would talking about that be suitable for your anthology?

Yes of course – it’s a significant life event. Your title could be ‘Understanding Bereavement’. I’ll get some questions to you if you can email me your email address. Thanks.

This is Jaye… I nearly bought the farm a few years ago when my heart suddenly stopped. One hell of a way to stop smoking !
I would love to answer your question, Stevie… https://jenanita01@btinternet.com

Regarding the anthology I am tempted to say ‘what a shame’, but then again it doesn’t seem quite appropriate!

As you may remember, three months after we were married, my husband became partially paralyzed, and I cared for him for six years until he passed. If this would work for your anthology, let me know. You can reach me via the contact form on my blog at https://abbiescorner.wordpress.com.

Hi Abbie, I’ll think up some questions next week for you. Your contribution could be entitled ‘Becoming a Carer’. Many people have to face this reality at some time in their lives, and might be glad of your insight. Thanks.

Sounds good, alas I have no experience of any of those four you still need, the first two would have been interesting.

You’re welcome, Stevie. You can thank Timehop for the reminder – without that I probably wouldn’t have posted today. Funny how that can happen, isn’t it?
