Just to let you know I’ve had a minor op on my right hand for trigger finger release, and I can’t use my right hand at the moment as I have to keep it elevated in a sling. As you can imagine this is absolute pants, and everything takes an age to do as I am naturally right handed. Therefore I’m signing off for a fortnight or so until my fingers are back in action. See you all (virtually) soon. x

Wow, what a bummer! What is trigger finger? Heal up girl! 🙂 xx

The tendon gets stuck in the sheath that surrounds it. I’ve had 3 steroid injections over the years, but this year it was time for surgery. The finger is still stiff and painful and I can’t bend it properly, but I guess I’ll have to wait the regulation 6 weeks after surgery to reap the benefit. x

Ouchee! Well I hope you heal fast my friend. One finger typing until then. 🙂 ❤

Getting better every day. I can now type normally, but can’t lift anything or grip anything yet. x

I hope you heal as soon as possible, Stevie. In the meantime – record all your thoughts for any creative writing or blogging you may want to do. Or just rest… whatever suits.

Probably not the best time to learn to play the piano as therapy…Sucks, mightily to have a hand or foot out of commission. But considering my last post and the one armed cook, not to mention Rick Allen of Def Leppard I’ll start the “que” for Stevie Turner’s “The One Handed Novelist”🤣 Seriously, all the best getting over it quick!

I am completely lost without my right hand, so I can well-imagine the frustrations. See you soon.
Best wishes, Pete.

That must be absolute torture, Stevie… take advantage of the unexpected break (no pun intended) and try to enjoy the rest?

Anita always says ‘this too will pass’ but it never helps me. Maybe give in gracefully and enjoy the rest?
