On Friday 18th August I, along with many other authors, will travel up to stay near the Lancashire Mining Museum (formerly Astley Green Colliery) for what I hope will be an annual author signing event.  I attended last year, and you can read about it here: https://steviet3.wordpress.com/2016/08/14/the-manchester-author-signing-event/

This year the author event and gig, kindly organised by the super-efficient Sandra Robinson at Scarlett Enterprises, will be starting off on the Friday afternoon and evening with canal boat cruises for some of the lucky authors who could get tickets (yay, I’m one of them!), and the author event itself starts on Saturday morning 19th August at 11am at the Lancashire Mining Museum.  The signing and gig will take place in a large marquee measuring 21 x 15 metres, with a smaller marquee accommodating the beer tent & refreshments. In the evening there will be a BBQ and other food available. Afternoon tea of sandwiches and cakes will be available to purchase, through the day. An ice-cream van is also going to be on site.  The morning session will run from 11 am – 1.30 pm,  and the afternoon from 2.30 pm – 5 pm, or there’s an option for an all day ticket.  Bands will be playing on Saturday evening.  There is free parking on site.  On Sunday 20th it’s still to be confirmed whether there will be another formal author signing event or an informal more relaxed meet/chat.

If you visit my stand you will be able to pick up a free Audible.co.uk code for one of my audio books.

Tickets can be purchased from Eventbrite on the link below:

https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/manchester-author-event-gig-2017-tickets-28505977145?aff=es2

All tickets will be scanned on entry and visitors will receive a colour coded wrist band.

There will also be a raffle, and all winners will be announced at the Saturday evening gig. Raffle prizes will include signed paperbacks, Kindle HD, e-books, superstore vouchers and more prizes will be announced closer to the event.  The monies raised from the raffle will be donated to the local Pegasus Explorer Scout Unit, Astley. Two charities will benefit from a percentage of the profits for this event. Part to the Mining Museum itself, and the other to MIND, Registered charity number 219830. Registered in England number 424348.

What are you waiting for?  Grab your ticket and come and see me and my fellow authors at the Lancashire Mining Museum, Higher Green Lane, Astley Green, Manchester, M29 7JB on 19th and 20th August, and then dance the night away!
