Sometimes when we’re busy it’s nice to simply leave a link to our blog or blog post and run, and so Friday Click and Run is just for that purpose. However, of course you can check out others’ links and share away if you want to. So… every Friday do add some info of what your blog is about and also link to your blog or blog post in the comments if you’ve got a minute. You don’t have to do anything else such as sharing or commenting unless you really want to. Isn’t that cool? People may decide to check your link out, or they may not. They might decide to leave their own link and run as well, so you may meet each other heading out the door. If I see a post that’s a bit risqué, then I shall be running too – straight to the ‘delete’ button!
Fire away then… let’s see what we end up with. This blog will run until next Friday.
Thanks to the 10 bloggers who left their links last week.

I enjoyed your story ‘The Hollow’, but I couldn’t see where to leave comments. I run a short story contest every other month if you’re interested (next one will be at the end of January)?

The comments button might be hidden beneath some obnoxious ad. I need to figure out how to get rid of those things!

My mother’s the same age as the Queen, there won’t be another generation quite like them!

Yes, they are the last of their kind. I always thought my mom was sort of like the Queen. She had one daughter and three sons, like mom, and always looked her best no matter what. Mom wouldn’t be able to rule a country but she certainly ruled our household and family in a fair and loving manner.

Yes, my mother always took great care about her appearance, as when she was a child her parents did not have much money and she only had 2 dresses. Therefore as an adult and working, she went berserk in clothes shops and ended up with 4 double wardrobes full of them!

Morning, Stevie. I love Fridays and I love your Click and Run feature.
My link today is to the page on my blog where I share links to some of my unpublished short stories and poems (rhyming verse, nothing worthy of Wordsworth here). I would love to heqr feedback from other bloggers (is it worth me pursuing or should I just ‘blog’…)
Have a great day everybody, and looking forward to your links later. 💖

Thanks for sharing! I think, if you enjoy writing fiction, it’s absolutely something you should pursue. Honing my short story skills has been one of my favourite hobbies the last couple of years (with little kids, short stories are more manageable than longer pieces). The best part is, it has helped my novel writing and article writing as well!

Yes, too true. I always write short stories until I can think of a new subject for a novel. Sometimes a short story can turn into a novel!

Yes! Although I have enough of those in the go right now, I am trying to keep my short stories short 😂 I do expand a lot of my flash fiction into longer short stories, though. I’m working through a lot of old material for a collection right now.
The best thing is, writing short stories really helps to tighten up one’s prose. I didn’t realize how much unnecessary filler was in my long form writing until I tried writing a piece under 1000 words!
