Welcome to this week’s Sunday Stills. Today the topic is a colour challenge – ‘Spring Green‘.
The first photo was taken on 17th March 2021 and is of a field close to my house in Suffolk. Isn’t it wonderful to see all the way to the horizon! There’s a new green crop just pushing through the soil. It’s probably wheat, but does anybody recognise it already?
The second photo is when Sam and I took our favourite springtime walk in Nowton Park, Bury St. Edmunds last Sunday. Some of the daffodils are already out, and they certainly lift the spirits. Still lots of green stalks, and so hopefully more daffs to come. Summer is just around the corner!

Look at all the daffodils, Stevie. So pretty. We are hoping to visit Suffolk next April. I want to take my mom to see her family there and I also want to explore more of this area.

The park is lovely this time of year. You’ll have to let me know when you’re over here. Maybe we can meet up?

Hi Stevie, I was thinking the same thing. That would be lovely. We are monitoring Covid. I had hoped for August but I think that is ambitious.

Over here nobody is allowed to travel until July and there’s a £5000 fine if we travel abroad for holidays. Perhaps it might be better to leave it until next year, as now Boris is talking about a third wave.

We are going into a third wave here too, or so we’ve been told. How can you travel abroad for holidays if it isn’t allowed. Surely, the airlines can easily be monitored?

The £5000 fine will put people off I think.

I’m sure it will. That’s a lot of money. It is nearly R100 000 in our currency and more than a lot of people earn in a year.

Nice not to have to travel too far to see signs of Spring.
Best wishes, Pete.

At this stage you’d have to be very good to tell one cereal from another 🙂

I grew up a townie, but since moving to Suffolk I can tell wheat from barley now, lol, but not just yet.
