Poor grammar, spelling, signs of no editing at all!

Because I found several misspelled words, lazy edits, apostrophe’s placed where none should be. Hardly ever will my bookmark leave my book before ‘the end’. But if it does… It’s forever.

My greatest bugbear is ‘vernacular’ dialogue, spelt just how a foreigner would speak English, or how somebody would pronounce it with a heavy accent.

But if you are writing in a strong dialect you can’t get away from showing it…
after all a person from Newcastle wouldn’t speak perfect queens English and if it wasn’t shown it would surely have no authenticity.

Fair enough. But anyone not from Newcastle might struggle reading it and skip on down.
