This week we’re sharing photos focusing on a particular theme. I’ve decided that my theme will be Seasons in Suffolk.
I’m originally a Londoner, but now prefer to live in Suffolk. London is great for culture, shows and concerts, but in Suffolk you can see the horizon most of the time, there’s less pollution, and it’s much prettier! From the pictures below you can judge for yourself.

Ah, the daffodils…
I’m in a small village in the south of France which is a long way from the cities in California and also NYC where I lived for six years… I don’t want to be anywhere else.

As I stood there taking the photo I almost expected a ghost to pop up from behind the gravestones!

It is if you like the country life. Living in London as I did for 33 years, I appreciate the peacefulness of the countryside.

Well, I was raised in Alaska where the entire state population is less than most cities. I like visiting cities, but I would never want to live in one. On the other hand, my husband wants to live in the woods 50 miles from civilization and that’s not me either. I like internet, electricity, running water, people. Fortunately, Fairbanks is a medium sized town in the middle of a vast wilderness, so it’s the best of all worlds. We can wake up on Saturday morning and decide we really need to get away from people and be on a hiking trail within an hour. If we pick the right one, it will just be us.

It is idyllic, except for the brutal 5-months of winter. 🙂

Oh my a very small world it is! We moved to Somerset four years ago in September. We moved down from Bury St Edmunds… Away from family, friends, market days and abbey gardens, away from quirky shops and tiny atheatre. We miss A roads & motorways that whisk you to Cambridge for lunch and London for supper and home for bed. We left Ely and the Cam, Norfolk broads, and sugarbeet scent wafting in Windows a malt smell from the brewery #misshome

Ha ha, the sugar beet scent will soon be wafting over Bury! The Abbey Gardens look beautiful as always. Market days are still Wednesdays and Saturdays. Thanks for your comment.

Yes it’s great for country living, open fields and fresh air, but to see a show or concert we have to travel 100 miles to London. Never mind, we’re lucky enough to be able to have the best of both worlds.
