Today on Sunday Stills the topic is ‘Fabulous Florals‘.
The first two photos show a lovely spring floral display at Bury St. Edmunds’ Abbey Gardens. All throughout the year the gardens are kept immaculate, and as you enter the grounds of the old abbey there are 4 symmetrical flowerbeds, a couple of which I’ve depicted here:

The next photo shows daffodils in Nowton Park, Bury St. Edmunds, and the last one is my own tamarisk in our garden last year. It’s just ‘pinking’ up now, ready for May.

Really beautiful.

Garden pictures like these make me want to put on silly knickers and play croquette with flapper girls in past the knee shapeless cream-colored linen dresses, and an athletic ginger in an argyle sweater named Fred who has the finesse, and the brains, of a draught horse, but is a jolly good lad, and owns a sports car. Which is handy when we discover a body just off the course with half a cryptic note in her hand…
